Moist Chocolate Cake
Who doesn’t like chocolate cake? No one that I know. We love chocolate cake and this recipe is so yummy and very moist.
We have had a lot of birthdays lately and this is my go to recipe for chocolate cake. The children love it especially when I put m & m’s on the top for decoration.
Ingredients
120g melted Butter
2 eggs
100 ml full-cream milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
120g caster sugar
120g self raising flour
20g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
preheat oven to 180 degrees
Grease a 20cm cake tin and set aside
Place all ingredients into a mixing bowl
Mix till combined
Pour into the prepared cake tin
Bake for 25-35 min or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
Let it cool for 5 min in the tin before transferring to a wire rack.
Make sure your cake has cooled down before you ice it.
Icing
11/2 cups icing sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
3 Tbs milk
Combine all 3 ingredients.
Spread over the cake once it has cooled.
You can decorate your cake if you wish before the icing has set.
We like to use m & m’s mainly, but if we make the cake and haven’t planned it 100’s and 1000’s are a great alternative.
Many different lollies can be used. Recently we used snakes to decorate a cake because that’s what Liam asked for.
Enjoy this very yummy chocolate cake
