Dinner at Lonestar a Review and Birthday

by | Family Life

Logan, our fourth, turned 13 three days after Christmas and that officially makes four teenagers in the house.  Daniel and I can still remember bringing Logan home from the hospital to his siblings when we were living in the Goldfield’s City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.  Where did the time go?

As Logan’s birthday is so close to Christmas we tend to celebrate either at the start of December or in January.  When his birthday came, though, Logan wanted to have a mother-son lunch.  Just the two of us.

Logan wanted to go to Lone Star. Lone Star is a steakhouse which is very popular in Australia.  They have delicious, thick chips, coleslaw or salad and a whole range of desserts.  That is if you can fit it in.  Their main meals are quite large and in the past Daniel and I have struggled to eat our entire meal.  At Lone Star you definitely get your money’s worth.  Over the years, Daniel and I have been here a few times, either for lunch or dinner.

In the past, it has taken a while to place our order and get our food and the restaurant has been very busy.  Despite this, the staff are usually pretty friendly and the food is always amazing.

On this occasion, within five min of getting seated the waitress came and took our drinks order and then our food order.

Logan ordered garlic bread for an entree, then an adult meal with a burger and chips. I got a steak with mushroom sauce.

Logan’s entree was out within five minutes of ordering which I was impressed with.  However, we were almost finished with the entree when our main meal came out so there wasn’t much of a downtime between the meals.

The meal was so yummy and filling. Logan told the waitress that he was too full for dessert but it was his birthday so he should have something.

The waitress asked if he would like a brownie for takeaway which made his day.  The brownie’s from their are delectable

So as we were leaving she brought us out a birthday brownie.

On this occasion at Lone Star I would rate the service and the food ⅘ fast, friendly service and great tasting food.  The atmosphere was great and we do enjoy eating there.  We are definitely going to eat there again and I don’t think we are going to wait for a birthday or another type of celebration.  The food is too nice.
