Making A Seedling/Cutting Greenhouse
If your reading this you probably want to know how to grow some seedling from seeds in all times of the year without having the sun kill any of them or the frost from winter kill them or you know have them stolen by birds, slaters, snails and chickens if you have a problem with chickens getting out of you coop like we do.
So I have a small green house specifically made for seedling and cutting so you can grow seedling and/or cuttings with less problems then just planting seeds in you garden and hoping for the best this green house is easy to put together and comes in two pieces, the bottom and the top. The top of the greenhouse is a clear plastic roof that allows sunlight to get through and to trap heat in it causing it to be humid in there that’s how most if not all green houses work. There is also two openings in the roof so if the amount of water is too high you can open the slots to let out some of the water vapor without tipping the water out.
The greenhouse I bought didn’t come with any of the degradable pots like I thought it was but on the box it does say not including pots in small writing in the bottom left corner. So I filled the pots with general potting mix but if you use seed raising mix or cutting mix depending on what you are using the green house for, you should get better results. I then planted multiple seeds in the 20 pots that I used which included: capsicum, squash, dwarf beans, spinach and lettuce. I watered all the seeds putting the lid on the greenhouse. I made sure that the green house is in a spot that receives both sun and shade, so the greenhouse doesn’t warm up too much.
I have also done a comparison to one I bought at Bunnings and one that I bought at big W, and they were pretty much the same except that the one at Bunnings was slightly more expensive and included the pots that the big w one didn’t. so, I would buy this small seedling or cutting green house from either Bunning or big W just if I am going to buy from big W ill need to buy the pots. These 2 green houses that we have one is my brothers and one is mine us two will grow seedlings in them for probably years to come.
