How to Make Chocolate Balls
I have been making this recipe since before my children were born. It’s very simple and everyone seems to like them.
When the children were little we made these with our friend Lia and her children. I had the oldest 3 and Lia had her 2. They all had a ball crushing up the biscuits even more so eating the final product.
Over the years we have made these sporadically. When the children asked to do some baking and I agreed Chantelle wanted to join in. At the moment it’s hard for Chantelle to join in activities as she has fractured her patella and has a leg splint on to keep her knee straight. I thought this was the perfect treat for her to make as there is no cooking involved and she can do the whole thing at the kitchen table.
Ingredients
1 packet of plain biscuits
1 395g tin of condensed milk
1 cup of coconut
¼ cup of cocoa
Extra coconut for rolling
Place biscuits into a ziplock bag. Use a rolling pin to crush the biscuits into crumbs
Place biscuit crumbs into a large bowl
Sift over the cocoa powder
Add the coconut and condensed milk
Thoroughly mix together all of the ingredients
Roll heaped teaspoons of the mix into balls
Roll balls into the extra coconut to coat the balls
I put them into the fridge to make them hard.
Eat and enjoy
Chantelle enjoyed making these on her own and was very happy to be included in our baking day
